Craniosacral

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive approach that treats the surrounding membranes and fluids of the brain and spinal cord.  When stress and strain restrict the craniosacral system, it can result in dysfunction throughout the central nervous system.  Using a touch generally no greater than the weight of a nickel, the practitioner utilizes a series of holds through the sacrum, spine, and cranial bones to restore the body to optimal health.

During a Craniosacral therapy session, the client remains fully clothed and comfortable on a massage table.  The practitioner’s gentle approach allows the body to unwind and self-correct.  Dr. John Upledger, the founder of Craniosacral Therapy, taught that the body has an innate wisdom and ability to heal.  Sometimes, all it needs is a nudge in the right direction.

Craniosacral therapy is known for its effectiveness with headaches, migraines, chronic neck and back pain, TMJ, concussion, vertigo, and motor-coordination impairements.  It is also capable of facilitating the release of past traumas from the body.

I am currently trained in the techniques taught in Craniosacral I, which includes the 10 Step Protocol as taught as by Dr. John Upledger. To book a session with me, please follow the link here: Well Within Massage and Integrated Health
