The Vow

A love so bold it marches against the tide

two halves of a whole

torn asunder

born on a foreign star

in lives long forgotten,

become like dreams to us all

some now remember

the ancient vows

the elder planets – the cities,

their homes

I open my eyes to the rod and staff,

the faithful promise made to each other:

no fire, no force, no sword, no blow

no dream, no obstacle could ever part us

through drought and storm,

the dark nights of the soul,

through the chaos and in order

across the various worlds,

the lives without end

what is weaved above shall be below.
